Four Men Charged with Federal Robbery and Firearms Offenses

Recently, four men, including a well-known individual previously highlighted in CWBChicago’s reporting, have been accused of federal robbery and firearms charges. The charges stem from an incident involving the robbery of electrical workers who were in possession of specialized equipment. This incident, which occurred in the 9700 block of South Martin Luther King Drive, was first reported by CWBChicago a year ago.

One of the accused individuals is Kahdaffie Green, who had previously served prison time for his involvement in a $46,000 shoplifting incident at a Prada store in 2022. At the time of the utility worker robbery, Green was on parole for the Prada store theft.

The four men, identified as Green, Jahjuan Green, Birden, and Ramyyeh, allegedly wore masks and brandished firearms to rob three Meade Electrical Company employees of a SeeSnake sewer camera reel and a camera on December 6, 2023. After the robbery, the group fled in a stolen Jeep.

According to federal prosecutors, the group had conducted surveillance of the robbery location beforehand, researched online to determine the resale values of the stolen equipment, and used their phones to plan the crime.

Despite their efforts to cover their tracks, the men were unaware that the stolen equipment was equipped with a GPS tracker. This allowed law enforcement to quickly locate the group and recover the stolen items from the stolen Jeep.

Each individual is facing charges of robbery conspiracy and brandishing firearms during a violent crime. Additionally, Green and Ramyyeh are charged with being felons in possession of firearms.

It is anticipated that state charges against the men will be dropped as federal authorities pursue the case. However, Green currently has another pending case in state court related to his involvement in a shoplifting incident at a Louis Vuitton store inside Nordstrom, where merchandise worth $210,000 was stolen.
