A horrifying incident occurred at Penn Station in New York City on Friday evening when a man was found on fire. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, but reports suggest that it was intentional. This tragic event marks the second time this week that a person has been set on fire in the New York City transit system.

According to officials, the man, who is 56 years old, sustained burn injuries throughout his entire body and was intentionally set on fire. He was quickly transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition. The New York Fire Department responded to the report around 8 p.m. and the man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center for treatment. The authorities are still working to identify the man and further details about his condition have not been released.

This incident has caused a stir on social media, with bystanders posting photos and videos from the scene. One Twitter user shared images of fire trucks at every subway entrance in NYC, highlighting the chaos and emergency response efforts taking place. Another tweet mentioned the seriousness of the situation, urging people to stay away from the area due to the ongoing mess caused by the incident.

In a separate incident earlier on Friday, a fire broke out at Bryant Park, destroying the holiday market. The FDNY confirmed that the fire was accidental and was caused by cooking oil coming in contact with combustibles. This incident adds to the series of unfortunate events that have occurred in the city recently, raising concerns about safety and security in public spaces.

As investigations continue into the man’s intentional burning at Penn Station, authorities are working to determine the motive behind the heinous act. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement to prevent further tragedies from occurring.
