Paul Perez, the president of the Border Patrol Union, recently appeared on FOX News and issued a stern warning to Democrat-run sanctuary cities that are defiant of Trump and Border Czar Tom Homan.

He cautioned that those who obstruct the administration’s efforts will face consequences.

Illegal immigration emerged as a pivotal issue in the 2024 election, reflecting the American people’s desire for a resolution. This was a significant factor driving many voters to support Donald Trump.

Perez’s message underscores the seriousness of the situation, urging individuals not to underestimate the administration’s resolve.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Border Patrol union warns Democratic sanctuary cities will be ‘dealt with’

Paul Perez, President of the National Border Patrol Council, cautioned Democratic officials against impeding the Trump administration’s planned deportations. He emphasized that the administration is appointing top legal experts who will enforce repercussions.

Following the 2024 election, several state officials, including Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), have sought to hinder the administration’s deportation efforts, prompting Tom Homan to advise them to step aside. In response to these officials and sanctuary cities opposing the administration, Perez asserted the supremacy of federal law over state law.

“Anybody that’s going to get in the way is going to be dealt with, and so they need to take this incoming administration at its word because they are going to have some of the best legal minds working in the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security,” Perez stated on Fox News’s America Reports, guest-hosted by Griff Jenkins and Julie Banderas. “So it’s not something that they’re taking lightly. They’re going to do the job.”
