President Donald Trump is set to make his first official trip after returning to the White House, and it will be to the devastated areas of Los Angeles that have been ravaged by fires. According to a report from NewsNation, the trip is scheduled to take place late next week.

Trump has been vocal in blaming California Governor Gavin Newsom for the destruction caused by the fires. In a post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his frustration, stating, “One of the best and most beautiful parts of the United States of America is burning down to the ground. It’s ashes, and Gavin Newscum should resign. This is all his fault!!!”

The fires in California have been exacerbated by laws that limit the amount of water that can be pumped from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, leading to a shortage of water to fight the fires. Trump has vowed to demand that Governor Newsom allow more water to flow into California to help combat the fires, criticizing the lack of water for fire hydrants and firefighting planes.

The fires have already destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres and claimed the lives of at least 27 people, with nearly 30 individuals still missing. The Palisades and Eaton fires, the two largest blazes, continue to burn as of Sunday afternoon.

As Trump prepares to be sworn in as the 47th president on Monday, his upcoming trip to the fire-ravaged areas of Los Angeles signals his commitment to addressing the ongoing crisis and providing support to the affected communities. Stay tuned for updates on his visit and efforts to aid in the recovery and rebuilding process.
