Teen Stabs Family’s Tenant to Death Over Loud Music Dispute

Over the weekend, a tragic incident unfolded in a Queens home as a 16-year-old boy fatally stabbed his family’s tenant during a heated argument over loud music. The victim, identified as Byron Lema-Naula, 24, was attacked by the teenager with a knife to the neck in their multi-family residence on 35th Avenue in North Corona. The altercation reportedly escalated due to the blaring music and banging noises coming from the house.

Details surrounding the initial cause of the confrontation remain unclear, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the fatal stabbing.

Lema-Naula, who was renting a room from the suspect’s family, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center following the attack but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The teenage assailant was apprehended by law enforcement a few hours later and has been charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Despite being a minor, the accused is facing serious criminal charges in connection with the violent incident.
