Other notable entries include a striking image of Kazakh eagle hunters in Mongolia, a mesmerizing aerial view of plum trees in full bloom in Japan, and a colorful scene of alpacas in Peru’s Rainbow Mountain.

The overall winner of the Open Photographer of the Year will be announced in April at Somerset House in London, where the 2025 exhibition will be held. The top shots from the competition can be viewed on the awards’ website, showcasing the talent and creativity of photographers from around the world.

The competition also features categories for professionals, students, specific regions, women, and youth, highlighting the diverse perspectives and voices in the world of photography. Whether it’s capturing the beauty of nature, the richness of culture, or the everyday moments of life, the Sony World Photography Awards celebrate the power of photography to tell stories and evoke emotions.
