Natalie Suleman Opens Up About Her Life in New Lifetime Docuseries
After years of staying out of the public eye to focus on raising her large family, Natalie Suleman, also known as “Octomom,” is ready to share her story in a new six-part docuseries on Lifetime. In an exclusive video interview with RadarOnline.com, the mother of 14 children revealed that she is finally ready to address the misconceptions that have followed her since the birth of her octuplets.
Despite her return to the spotlight, Suleman made it clear that she is not looking to follow in the footsteps of other reality TV stars like Kate Gosselin. She explained, “I’ve declined reality shows since they were little. I thought as an adult I could handle exploiting myself, being exploited temporarily, shamefully adopting that caricature ‘Octomom’ in the past, but it took a toll.”
She also expressed her concerns about the impact of filming children for a reality show, stating, “So if it was really damaging to me, I couldn’t imagine how detrimental filming children on an ongoing basis could be.” However, Suleman did leave the door open for a potential change in the future, saying, “Since they’re older, maybe when they are adults, 18, maybe my answer will be different.”
With her kids now teenagers, Suleman is ready to share her journey as a single mother of 14 and shed light on the challenges and triumphs she has faced along the way. The docuseries promises to give viewers a glimpse into Suleman’s life that they have never seen before.
