The suspected arsonist, identified as 38-year-old Cody Balmer from Harrisburg, PA, was swiftly apprehended by authorities.
Reports indicate that Balmer scaled a fence onto the property and forcibly entered the Governor’s Residence before igniting the blaze. While the motive for the attack remains unclear, Governor Shapiro hinted at a possible anti-Semitic motivation, stating, “I refuse to be trapped by the bondage that someone attempted to put on me by attacking us as they did last night.”
