Coburn, known for his extensive criminal record, has broken into Hairston’s apartment three times in a span of 10 days in March, with another attempted break-in on April 9th. Shockingly, the court has not taken any significant action against Coburn, releasing him without bail even after multiple offenses. This leniency is believed to be a result of New York’s controversial 2019 criminal justice reforms, which have been criticized for being too soft on crime.
Apart from the break-ins, Coburn has also displayed violent and obsessive behavior towards Hairston, including pulling a gun on her, claiming her apartment as his own, and causing damage to her property.
