Bill Clinton Commemorates 30 Years Since Oklahoma City Bombing
On a somber Saturday morning, former President Bill Clinton journeyed to Oklahoma City to honor the memory of those lost in the tragic bombing of April 19, 1995.
Addressing attendees at the remembrance ceremony, Clinton nostalgically reflected, “I still remember as if it were 30 minutes ago, coming here with Hillary to that memorial service and saying: ‘You have lost too much, but you have not lost everything. You have certainly not lost America, and we will be with you for as many tomorrows as it takes.” He emphasized, “I do think we’ve kept that commitment.”
The Oklahoma City bombing, a devastating act of domestic terrorism, resulted in the deaths of 168 individuals, including 19 children, when a truck bomb detonated at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
During his speech, observers noted that Clinton’s hands trembled noticeably. The former president has previously addressed these tremors, asserting that they are not indicative of Parkinson’s disease. “If I had Parkinson’s, I wanted to know so I could prepare. And I had it tested, and the doctor said ‘no.’ He says it’s just a normal aging phenomenon,” Clinton explained.

Three decades after the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in U.S. history, Bill Clinton returned to Oklahoma City to honor the victims and provide solace to those affected by the bombing. On that fateful day in 1995, a truck bomb obliterated the nine-story federal building, an event that remains etched in the national consciousness.
Clinton, who was the sitting president at the time, delivered the keynote address at a memorial ceremony held near the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum. Now 78, he has been widely recognized for the empathetic leadership he displayed as the nation processed its grief after the attack, emphasizing how it was a turning point in his presidency.
