Record-Breaking Boating Event Takes a Tumultuous Turn
At an exhilarating boating event in Arizona this past Saturday, speedboat captains aimed for the stars—quite literally—when their vessel soared into the air at a staggering 210 miles per hour, only to return to Earth with a dramatic splash. While the scene might have looked fit for a Hollywood action flick, spectators at Lake Havasu were left gasping in disbelief.
Fortunately, the two occupants of the Freedom One Racing boat emerged with only minor injuries, a silver lining in what could have been a much graver incident. The team, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, clearly knows how to attract attention, though perhaps not quite in this fashion.

Freedom One Racing Responds
In a reassuring post on Facebook, Freedom One Racing expressed their relief, stating, “We are glad everyone is safe and in good condition,” and extended gratitude to supporters for their “prayers.”
Eyewitness Accounts
Onlookers watched with bated breath as the speedboat ascended into the air on April 26, all while attempting to shatter a speed record. Thankfully, the two passengers on board only suffered minor injuries.
The Freedom One Racing boat was zooming at approximately 200 mph before it took flight, executing an acrobatic backflip and twisting through the air prior to its plunge into the water.
This incident unfolded during the Desert Storm Shootout, an annual showcase of high-performance powerboats racing across Lake Havasu at jaw-dropping speeds.
