Former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III expressed his disgust over the prank calls that took place during the 2025 NFL Draft. The incident involved Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Warren, among others, being prank called during the draft. It was later revealed that the prank caller was Jax Ulbrich, the son of Atlanta Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich, who obtained the numbers from his father’s iPad.

After the prank call went viral, Griffin took to social media to condemn such behavior. He stated that while pranks can be funny, this particular incident was tasteless and disrespectful, especially considering it was a significant moment in the players’ lives. Griffin emphasized the importance of upholding standards and morals in society, rather than indulging in sensationalism.

In his post, Griffin urged everyone to be better role models for the next generation, so they don’t repeat the mistakes of the past. He highlighted the need for empathy and understanding, especially during moments of celebration and achievement.

Following the revelation of Jax Ulbrich’s involvement in the prank call, he issued a public apology to Shedeur Sanders. Ulbrich admitted his mistake and expressed remorse for disrupting Sanders’ special moment. Sanders accepted the apology both over the phone and online, showing forgiveness and understanding.

Despite the incident, the Atlanta Falcons decided not to discipline Jeff Ulbrich, as it was determined that he was unaware of his son’s actions. Ultimately, Shedeur Sanders was drafted 144th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft, marking a significant milestone in his career.

In conclusion, it is essential for individuals to consider the consequences of their actions and strive to create a positive and supportive environment for everyone, especially during moments of achievement and celebration. Let us learn from this incident and work towards building a more compassionate and understanding society for the benefit of future generations.
