Buster Murdaugh, the son of convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh, recently celebrated his marriage to his longtime fiancée, Brooklynn White, in a private and luxurious wedding ceremony in South Carolina. The couple exchanged vows in front of family and friends at a former hunting estate in Beaufort, located within the upscale riverside community of Coosaw Point on Lady’s Island, SC.

Buster, 32, looked dashing in a white tuxedo paired with black pants, while his bride, Brooklynn, stunned in an off-the-shoulder white gown with a black bow. The couple held their romantic outdoor ceremony on the venue’s picturesque sun-drenched lawns, followed by a reception in a spacious tent adorned with vibrant blue and white flowers and green tablecloths.

Although the exact cost of the event remains unknown, a 50-person wedding at Coosaw Point typically costs around $26,000 for the venue alone. The couple had applied for their marriage license in South Carolina in April and had kept the details of their wedding a secret until the day of the ceremony.

Guests were given the opportunity to contribute to the newlyweds’ “House Project Fund” through their wedding registries, which included luxurious homeware items such as a Blackstone griddle, a YETI Tundra Hardcooler, a Mahjong game kit, and a Dyson Robot vacuum.

Buster and Brooklynn are believed to have met while studying at the University of South Carolina Law School. Brooklynn, a native of Rock Hill, SC, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Alabama before pursuing her juris doctor at the University of South Carolina Law School. She currently works at the Olivetti, McCray & Withrow law firm in Hilton Head.

Buster, also a former law student at USC, had been expelled over an alleged plagiarism incident. Since his father’s conviction for the murders of his mother, Maggie, and brother, Paul, in 2021, Buster has mostly stayed out of the public eye. Brooklynn was seen supporting him during his father’s murder trial in 2023.

The couple’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of their love and commitment to each other, surrounded by loved ones in a stunning setting in South Carolina. Congratulations to the newlyweds on this special occasion!
