The Motorola Moto G86 and Moto G56 budget smartphones have had their full spec details leaked online, and one particular shared spec looks set to outperform Samsung’s A-series phones. Renowned leaker Evan Blass (aka @Evleaks) has shared what appear to be official spec sheets for the upcoming Motorola devices. These phones are successors to the Moto G85 and Moto G55, with the former receiving positive reviews and the latter being considered decent.

Motorola Moto G86 Specs

Starting with the more powerful of the two phones, the Moto G86 boasts a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2712 x 1220 and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. This is a significant improvement over the Moto G85’s FHD+ resolution and 1600 nits peak brightness. The phone is expected to receive two years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates, an upgrade from the Moto G85’s one and three years respectively.

The Moto G86 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, similar to last year’s Moto Razr 50 and other devices like the Poco X7 and the Nothing CMF Phone 1. It will come with either 8 or 12GB of RAM. The phone will feature a 5200mAh battery, larger than its predecessor’s 5000mAh, with some regions potentially receiving a model with a massive 6720mAh cell. The phone also supports 33W wired charging.

In terms of build quality, the Moto G86 will feature IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H certification, a level of durability not found in Samsung’s Galaxy A-series phones. The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera.

Motorola Moto G56 Specs

The Moto G56 is an update to the Moto G55 and brings several improvements. The spec sheet suggests a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display, larger than the G55’s 6.49-inch screen, and a slightly faster Dimensity 7060 processor. The phone will be available with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM, with the 8GB model receiving two OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

The camera system on the Moto G56 is similar to the Moto G86, featuring a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. However, the main camera lacks OIS. Like the Moto G86, the Moto G56 also boasts IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD 810H certification for durability.

Both phones come with a 5200mAh battery and support 33W charging. While availability details are still unknown, the Moto G85 was launched in June and the Moto G55 was announced in August, suggesting that the successors shouldn’t be too far off. Stay tuned for more updates on these budget-friendly Motorola smartphones.
