New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe recently enjoyed a trip to Japan with his family, including his mother Janice and sister Steph. The hockey player shared a series of photos on his Instagram account, showcasing some of the highlights from their adventures in Tokyo.

One of the images captured Matt Rempe indulging in a delicious bowl of Japanese cuisine at a local restaurant, complete with chopsticks and a cold beer. Another photo depicted the family dining at a teppanyaki-style counter, savoring the unique flavors of Japanese cuisine.

The group also visited a private ramen booth, likely at the renowned Ichiran ramen restaurant. A photo showcased Matt and his friend Ty Bauer relaxing on a train, while another captured the majestic Senso-ji temple pagoda against a backdrop of clear blue skies.

In another snapshot, Matt and his companions posed on the bustling city streets, sporting casual T-shirts and sneakers. His mother Janice was seen standing under an umbrella next to a turquoise minivan, and the group was captured strolling through the downtown area.

A cozy moment on the train showed Matt engrossed in a book, while another image featured him sitting on temple steps with a friend. The final slide showcased Rempe snacking on local treats at a train station, all while proudly sporting a New York Rangers T-shirt.

In addition to his travel adventures, Matt Rempe’s commercial for BODYARMOR Sports Drink was recently nominated for a Shorty Award. The humorous video, filmed during the 2024-25 season, featured Rempe in a playful role as an office worker at the company’s New York City headquarters.

The ad quickly gained traction on social media, garnering over 7 million views on Instagram and TikTok, along with widespread acclaim from NHL fans and media outlets. It became BODYARMOR’s most popular Instagram post of 2024, solidifying Matt Rempe’s status as a rising star both on and off the ice.
