Three individuals were apprehended on Wednesday for allegedly stealing merchandise valued at nearly $4,000 from a Lululemon store in the West Loop. Among those arrested were a woman and a man who were already facing a total of nine pending felony shoplifting cases in Cook County, as per court records.

According to Sheriff’s police, two women were seen taking items from the Lululemon store located at 932 West Randolph at around 10:20 a.m. They then made a getaway in a Mazda CX-5. Organized Retail Crime officers, in collaboration with Lululemon for a retail theft suppression operation, attempted to intercept the vehicle, but it managed to evade them by speeding away.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers discovered the abandoned car in an alley behind the 200 block of Peoria Street, with Lululemon merchandise visibly present inside. A search of the vicinity led to the apprehension of Jadea Seals, 20, near a dumpster in an alley on the 200 block of Green Street. Tekiah White, 20, and Tyshun Williams, 22, were found hiding inside a dumpster and were also taken into custody.

Seals and White were charged with felony retail theft by the sheriff’s police. White was additionally processed for multiple warrants from Cook, DuPage, and McHenry counties, while Williams faced warrants from DuPage County and Cook County.

White had been out on pretrial release for four other felony retail theft cases in Cook County prior to her recent arrest. She had failed to appear in court starting from December 9, prompting judges Anthony Calabrese, Laura Ayala-Gonzalez, and John Wellington to issue arrest warrants across various cases. The sheriff’s office noted that she also had outstanding warrants in DuPage and McHenry counties.

Similarly, Williams had been on pretrial release for five additional felony retail theft cases in Cook County before his recent arrest. He too had stopped appearing in court starting from December 15, leading to warrants being signed by judges Domenica Stephenson and Anjana Hansen. Additionally, he had an active warrant from DuPage County, as mentioned by the sheriff’s office.

While Seals was released pending trial, White and Williams remain in custody due to the outstanding warrants against them.
