Man Arrested for Brutal Attack at Beanie Babies Founder’s Mansion
A violent criminal is now in custody after a horrifying incident at the California mansion of Beanie Babies creator Ty Warner. Russell Maxwell Phay, 42, from Nevada, has been charged with first-degree attempted murder and other offenses for breaking into Warner’s Montecito home and viciously assaulting a 60-year-old woman who was inside on May 21, according to reports from the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office.
Phay reportedly carried out the brutal attack, leaving the victim, Linda Malek-Aslanian, in a coma with a severe brain injury. The assailant barricaded himself in a bathroom after the assault and was later apprehended by law enforcement.

The victim, Linda Malek-Aslanian, is currently hospitalized in a coma as a result of the heinous crime. Ty Warner, who was present in the residence during the invasion, fortunately escaped physical harm.

The community is shocked by this disturbing incident at the residence of the renowned toy entrepreneur. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to bring justice for the victim and hold the perpetrator accountable for his actions.
