The investigation into the tragic death of Emilie Kiser’s 3-year-old son, Trigg Chapman Kiser, has now been officially closed, according to a recent update from Us Weekly. The heartbreaking incident occurred on May 18, 2025, when Trigg accidentally drowned in the family’s backyard pool on May 12, 2025. Emilie, who is also a mother to two-month-old Theodore, has been dealing with the unimaginable loss while trying to support her surviving child.

In response to over 100 public record requests regarding Trigg’s death, Emilie filed a lawsuit in Arizona to prevent the release of sensitive information related to the case. The lawsuit, filed on May 27, emphasized the need to protect the family’s privacy and prevent unnecessary emotional distress. The documents requested, including police reports, security camera footage, and autopsy records, contain graphic and intimate details that have no relevance to government accountability.

Emilie’s legal team requested the court to block the public disclosure of these records and conduct an in-camera review for sensitive materials. They highlighted that neither Emilie nor her counsel have reviewed the records due to the distressing nature of the content. The lawsuit stressed the importance of preventing emotional harm by keeping the information confidential.

The Chandler Police Department confirmed Trigg’s death on May 18, revealing that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, additional details will not be disclosed until the investigation is concluded. Emilie, a popular influencer with a significant following on social media platforms, welcomed Trigg in July 2021 with her husband, Brady Kiser. The couple added another son, Teddy, to their family in March.

As the investigation comes to a close, it serves as a reminder of the importance of pool safety. In honor of Water Safety Awareness Month, it is crucial to follow expert advice, such as Bode Miller’s tips, and visit resources like Coverstar’s website for essential information on preventing water-related accidents.

The closure of the investigation brings a sense of closure for Emilie and her family, allowing them to grieve and heal in privacy. Despite the tragic loss of young Trigg, the legal action taken by Emilie underscores the significance of protecting personal information during times of great emotional turmoil.
