Justice Department Drops Biden-Era Lawfare Suit Against Trump Adviser Peter Navarro – The Same Suit Where FBI Agents Celebrated His Indictment |

Justice Department Drops Biden-Era Lawfare Suit Against Trump Adviser Peter Navarro - The Same Suit Where FBI Agents Celebrated His Indictment | The Gateway Pundit

In a notable turn of events, the Department of Justice has decided to withdraw its lawsuit against Peter Navarro, a key advisor to former President Trump and his current aide on trade and manufacturing issues.

The lawsuit, initiated during the Biden administration, accused Navarro of utilizing an unofficial email account for government activities and improperly retaining presidential records from the first Trump term. This legal maneuver was formally documented in a court filing released on Tuesday.

Such a bold legal action from the Biden administration is quite remarkable, especially when juxtaposed with revelations about President Biden himself allegedly engaging in oil and gas negotiations that seemingly benefited his son, Hunter Biden, through a private email account.

Indeed, the National Archives previously confirmed through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response that they had unearthed over 5,000 emails and numerous files linked to Biden’s pseudonymous accounts, such as [email protected] and [email protected].

This raises an eyebrow regarding the equitable application of justice, particularly when elite Democrat politicians appear to skirt accountability, while Republicans seem to find themselves ensnared in the intricate web of Democratic legal strategies, notably those orchestrated by the Biden Justice Department.

CNN has additional coverage on this late-breaking development.

A collaborative filing by the Justice Department and Navarro’s attorney lacks clarity on the rationale behind the abandonment of a case first filed in 2022 during Biden’s presidency. The succinct one-page document states that both parties will bear their own legal fees.

The civil case alleged that Navarro’s use of an unofficial email account hindered his obligation to submit presidential records to the National Archives.

The government informed the court of the lawsuit’s dismissal just a day prior to a scheduled status conference overseen by U.S. Magistrate G. Michael Harvey.

Interestingly, this case coincides with the discovery of internal FBI emails from agents who, to put it mildly, were not fond of Trump and appeared to be reveling in the prospect of Navarro’s indictment. One such email from former FBI official Timothy Thibault exclaimed, “Wow! Great!” upon hearing the news.

These revelations about the FBI during the Biden era raise questions about accountability for agents who seem to operate with impunity. It appears that Republicans are not inclined to confront these troubling behaviors from Biden’s officials.

Don’t anticipate the mainstream media to provide a comprehensive narrative regarding these charges against Navarro.

Today, we find ourselves raising a toast to Peter Navarro and the elusive concept of justice. This lawsuit, in hindsight, should never have been levied against him.

With this legal cloud lifted, Navarro can now dedicate his efforts to supporting President Trump and the American populace in their ongoing trade negotiations.
