Trump Unveils New Flagpoles at the White House
Former President Donald Trump recently claimed that the new flagpoles installed at the White House were “about 100 feet” tall, although White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified that they were actually 88ft in height.
During a recent press conference, Trump expressed his excitement about the new flagpoles, stating, “This is about the largest you’ll ever see, and it’s tapered. It’s a quality that you guys rarely get to even put up.”
He went on to mention that another flagpole identical to the one installed would be placed on the North Lawn of the White House. “We have one going there, identical,” Trump said. “So we’ll have one on this side of the building. We’ll have one on that side of the building, properly placed.”
Explaining the decision-making process behind the placement of the flagpoles, Trump shared, “In this case, we had a lot of choices, putting it on that hill, putting it different places. It’s such a beautiful pole, we thought we’d put it near.”
Describing the flagpoles as the best in the country and the world, Trump emphasized their quality and design, stating, “These are the best poles anywhere in the country, in the world, actually, they’re tapered. They have the nice top.”
The unveiling of the new flagpoles at the White House marks a significant moment in the Trump administration’s efforts to enhance the aesthetics of the presidential residence. The flagpoles serve as a symbol of American pride and patriotism, standing tall and majestic on the White House grounds.
