Khloé Kardashian recently shared on her podcast, “Khloé in Wonder Land,” about her special bond with Tristan Thompson’s brother, Amari. At 18 years old, Amari is severely disabled due to Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a form of epilepsy that affects his ability to walk and talk. Khloé revealed that she has taken on the role of being one of Amari’s caregivers following the passing of Tristan’s mother, Andrea, in January 2023.

After Andrea’s death, Khloé, Tristan, and their family brought Amari back to the States from Canada, where they had been living. Due to Tristan’s NBA career that involves frequent travel, Khloé explained that it was not practical for Amari to accompany him on flights due to his medical condition. Therefore, Amari now resides with Khloé in Los Angeles, where she has employed two caretakers to assist in his daily care.

Despite no longer being in a relationship with Tristan, Khloé emphasized that her commitment to caring for Amari stems from her close relationship with Andrea, whom she considered a good friend. She had been actively involved in Amari’s medical appointments and care while Andrea was alive, and she continues to honor that connection by providing the best possible life for Amari.

Khloé also highlighted the importance of exposing her own children, True and Tatum, as well as her nieces and nephews, to individuals with different abilities. She believes that it fosters compassion, understanding, and an appreciation for diversity. Amari’s presence in their lives serves as a reminder that despite his disabilities, he is just like them in many ways, and his interactions with the children bring joy to everyone involved.
