Mya Lesnar, the daughter of famous wrestler Brock Lesnar, recently secured her shot put title at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, adding to her indoor title from the previous year. The 23-year-old athlete has been making waves in the shot put event and has been a standout performer at the NCAA level.

Competing for Colorado State University since the 2022-23 season, Mya won her first major title in the weight throw at the Mountain West Indoor Championships in 2023. She continued her winning streak by clinching the indoor shot put title at the 2024 Nationals with a distance of 18.53m. At the 2025 NCAA Championships, Mya impressed everyone by throwing 19.01m to secure the outdoor shot put title, becoming the only athlete in CSU program history to achieve success in both indoor and outdoor settings.

A video montage shared by CSU Rams on Instagram captured Mya’s emotional journey to victory at the 2025 Nationals. In the voiceover, the determined athlete expressed her confidence and focus on executing her throws, highlighting the hard work and dedication that went into her success. Her final dual meet saw her break the CSU program and facility record with a throw of 19.60m.

Mya Lesnar credited much of her winning campaign to her coach, Brian Bedard, who has been a constant source of support and guidance throughout her career. Bedard, who was recommended by her father Brock Lesnar, played a crucial role in helping Mya achieve her goals and reach the pinnacle of success in shot put. Mya acknowledged Bedard’s contributions and expressed gratitude for his unwavering support.

As Mya Lesnar bids farewell to her collegiate career, she looks forward to more achievements in the future. Her determination, talent, and perseverance have set her apart as a rising star in the world of track and field. With the guidance of her coach and the support of her loved ones, Mya Lesnar is poised to achieve even greater success in the years to come.
