Justin Hartley, known for his role as Colter Shaw in the hit CBS series “Tracker,” is giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from his character in Season 3. At the premiere of his new movie “Bride Hard” in Los Angeles, Hartley shared his thoughts on the upcoming season.
“I know we’ll get to the nitty-gritty of why my mother hired this guy,” Hartley told Variety. “Was she protecting her kids? Was an affair happening? Was the government involved? Was it strictly just my mother? Why did she hide that from us for so long? Why did she lead me to believe that it was my brother who was involved when he wasn’t? It seems like this divide-and-conquer thing that she’s doing. It was just an odd thing to do with your children. There’s some deep psychosis there. We’ll unpack that.”
Hartley expressed his admiration for the mysterious element of Colter, saying, “One of the things I love about our show is it seems like every time we answer a question, there are five more questions. It’s almost like he’s getting deeper and deeper. I really enjoy that about our show.”
The new season of “Tracker” is scheduled to start shooting in July, promising more twists and turns for fans to unravel.
In “Bride Hard,” Hartley stars alongside Rebel Wilson as Chris, the groom’s best man who finds himself assisting a group of mercenaries that crash the wedding. Wilson plays Sam, a secret agent whose cover is blown during the chaos. The film also features Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, and Stephen Dorff.
For Hartley, playing a character on the opposite side of the law was a refreshing challenge. “I thought it was so interesting because he’s such a worm and a buffoon,” Hartley said. “To play something that I’ve never intentionally done before was fun for me.”
Hartley praised Wilson for her dedication to the stunt work in the film, particularly during the intense fight scene they shared. He commended Wilson for her choreography and hard work, highlighting her commitment to the action sequences.
The cast members, including Sherry Cola, who played Wilson’s handler in the film, were impressed by Wilson’s transformation into an action hero. Cola expressed her excitement for audiences to see Wilson break stereotypes and showcase her skills on screen.
Director Simon West also lauded Wilson’s performance, describing her as a tough and fearless fighter with her own unique style. He compared her fighting style to “John Wick on steroids,” emphasizing her energy and enthusiasm for the action sequences.
With the anticipation building for both the new season of “Tracker” and the release of “Bride Hard,” fans can look forward to seeing Justin Hartley and Rebel Wilson in action-packed roles that showcase their versatility and talent.
