In a fervent display of indignation, President Trump crucified the so-called “fake news” outlets, CNN and the New York Times, after a questionable ‘top secret’ intelligence report concerning U.S. military operations against Iranian nuclear facilities found its way into the public domain.
“FAKE NEWS CNN AND THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES HAVE JOINED FORCES TO UNDERMINE ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY OPERATIONS IN HISTORY. THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED! BOTH THE TIMES AND CNN ARE GETTING SLAMMED BY THE PUBLIC!” Trump declared on Truth Social Tuesday evening, perhaps forgetting that social media is not exactly the bastion of authoritative discourse.
On Saturday, the President proudly announced that the U.S. had executed airstrikes on three pivotal nuclear sites in Iran.
“We have successfully completed our attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All aircraft are now safely outside Iranian airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. Our pilots are on their way home. Kudos to our brave American Warriors. There is no other military in the world that could pull this off. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he proclaimed on Truth Social.
Trump asserted that bunker-busting bombs had utterly decimated the Fordow nuclear facility. Satellite imagery has been released, showcasing the dramatic ‘before and after’ effects of what was dubbed Operation Midnight Hammer.

On Tuesday, a ‘top secret’ intelligence report regarding the Fordow facility was leaked to CNN, as reported by AP and the New York Times.
CNN’s coverage of the leak suggested that an early assessment from the Pentagon’s intelligence unit indicated that Iran’s nuclear facilities remained “largely intact” and that the U.S. strikes had merely delayed their progress by a few months—a claim that surely did not sit well with the administration.
In response to the leak, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt asserted, “This purported assessment is outright incorrect and was classified as ‘top secret’ yet somehow leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level individual within the intelligence community. This leak is a blatant attempt to undermine President Trump and discredit the heroic fighter pilots who flawlessly executed the mission to dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Everyone knows that when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs accurately, the result is total obliteration,” Leavitt stated to CNN.

The claim has since been disputed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
