A shocking and chilling confession has been made by a suspect accused of crucifying an elderly pastor in his Arizona home. Adam Christopher Sheafe, 51, gave a disturbing jailhouse interview where he confessed to the murder of 76-year-old William Schonemann. The pastor’s body was found in his bed covered in blood with his hands nailed to the wall on April 28. Sheafe revealed that he had planned to kill 14 Christian leaders in 10 states across the US using the same gruesome method of crucifixion.

During the interview with Fox 10 News at the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Sheafe calmly described driving from Phoenix in the early hours of Easter Sunday before carrying out the brutal murder. He placed a crown of thorns on Schonemann’s head in a sick crucifixion ritual. Sheafe admitted that he was on his way to kill two priests in Sedona when he was arrested by police.

Justifying his actions with religion, Sheafe claimed that Christian pastors were leading people astray by preaching about Jesus as God. He referred to his plan as “Operation First Commandment” and stated that Schonemann was the first target in his twisted plot. Despite having a Christian family and a good childhood, Sheafe expressed no remorse for his actions.

Sheafe denied any mental illness and stated that he was not sorry for what he had done. He mentioned that he had a history of drug use but did not believe it had influenced his actions. He even expressed his willingness to be executed for his crimes. The suspect gathered thorns from the desert to make the crown he placed on Schonemann’s head after the murder.

Although Sheafe has not been charged with killing the pastor, he is expected to be extradited to Maricopa County. Schonemann’s family released a statement expressing concern over Sheafe’s increasing notoriety and the potential danger he poses. They criticized the attention given to him and his ability to freely communicate with county-supplied devices.

The confession and detailed plans revealed by Sheafe paint a disturbing picture of a man driven by a twisted ideology to commit heinous acts of violence. The investigation into this case continues, with authorities working to ensure the safety of other potential targets mentioned by the suspect.
