Chilling video shows homeowner being shot and killed while interrupting burglars

A harrowing incident has unfolded in Decatur, Georgia, where a homeowner lost her life after confronting a group of burglars at her residence.

The victim, identified as Anna Scott, aged 36, reportedly rushed home after noticing suspicious activity on her doorbell camera, where she saw three individuals attempting to break into her house late Saturday night.

As Scott arrived in her Jeep, she was met with violence. One of the assailants opened fire, shooting multiple rounds at her vehicle, leaving it peppered with bullets as the culprits made their escape. Footage shared by Fox5 Atlanta captures the chaos as she confronted the intruders.

Additional footage from a neighbor’s doorbell camera depicts the moments following the shooting, showing a bystander rushing to assist Scott as she lay injured in the street.

Police arrived and found Scott suffering from a single gunshot wound. Despite being immediately transported to the hospital, she tragically did not survive.

According to the DeKalb County Police Department, her Jeep was discovered just inches from her front porch, riddled with several bullet holes.

“It was gunshots… rapid gunshots,” reported one neighbor who witnessed the heartbreaking scene to Fox5 Atlanta.

Jerome Willis, a friend of Scott’s, expressed his shock over the incident, noting that such violence is rare in their normally quiet neighborhood. “I’m just so sorry to hear about her passing away,” he said. “They should find [the killer] as quick as possible… for somebody to just kill an innocent person.”

As of now, law enforcement has not disclosed any details regarding potential suspects, and no arrests have been made.
