Adam Sandler played the role of officiant at the extravagant wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce held at Madison Square Garden.
This news was disclosed through a press release acquired by Variety shortly after Swift and Kelce announced their marriage. The statement also provided additional details about the ceremony and the couple’s wedding attire.
“The bride and groom’s wedding outfits were crafted by Christian Dior Haute Couture,” the release stated. “They were designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s, and Haute Couture Collections, in collaboration with the couple.” It was noted to be the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a globally recognized celebrity. The couple’s shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride adorned Cartier jewelry.
The statement continued, “Taylor and Travis chose not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honor, while Travis’ Best Man was his brother, Jason Kelce. The ceremony united both families and was officiated by their friend, Adam Sandler.”
Media speculation had been rife leading up to the event, but on the morning of the ceremony, the Associated Press confirmed that Swift and Kelce would marry on July 3 at Madison Square Garden. Among the guests photographed in formal attire were Ed Sheeran, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Gigi Hadid, Dakota Johnson, Ethan Hawke, MGK, Jason Sudeikis, Hugh Grant, and Camila Cabello. Reports suggest that the guest list may have included up to 1,000 individuals.
Variety also highlighted that the digital wedding invitations were sent with watermarks and non-disclosure agreements. Other notable attendees included AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron, filmmaker Steven Spielberg, Bob Iger, Dana Walden, Universal Music Group chairman Lucian Grainge, Republic Records founders Monte and Avery Lipman, and Swift’s long-time tour promoter Louie Messina.
