Allyce Ozarski, a talented television producer known for her work on popular shows like “The L Word: Generation Q” and “I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman,” passed away on January 24 in Los Angeles at the age of 41. Her family confirmed that she lost her battle with triple negative metastatic breast cancer.

Originally from California, Allyce spent her formative years in Poway before pursuing a degree in international studies and Italian at the University of Washington. A fortuitous encounter with a television director set her on the path to a successful career in the entertainment industry.

Allyce’s exceptional work as a producer was recognized with a nomination for the outstanding variety sketch series category at the 2018 Emmys for her involvement in producing Hulu’s “I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman.” She also contributed to shows like “Problematic with Moshe Kasher” on Comedy Central, “SMILF” on Showtime, and “Baskets” on FX. Additionally, she served as an executive producer on Showtime’s “I Love That for You,” “Super Pumped,” and “The L Word: Generation Q.”

Marja-Lewis Ryan, showrunner, director, writer, and executive producer of “The L Word: Generation Q,” fondly remembered Allyce as a guiding light in her life and career. She praised Allyce’s unwavering confidence and infinite patience, which inspired those around her to excel creatively and personally.

In recent times, Allyce took on the role of executive producer for “GOLF,” a new Netflix series starring Will Ferrell, as well as an upcoming project by Vince Gilligan for Apple TV+. She was also a co-founder of Funny Adjacent Productions, alongside her producing partner Anna Dokoza.

Allyce is survived by her husband Jonathan Haug, their 4-year-old daughter Harley Haug, her parents Robert and Idelma Ozarski, and her brothers Adam and Marc Ozarski. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an education fund for Harley, with the code S3K-662.

Allyce Ozarski’s untimely passing has left a void in the entertainment industry, but her legacy as a talented producer and a beloved colleague will continue to inspire many in the years to come.
