The exclusive Conner Ives x Jimmy Choo collaboration made its debut at Ives’s Autumn/Winter 2025 showcase during London Fashion Week, but the festivities continued across the Atlantic. On Thursday evening, the designer hosted an intimate dinner at Mr. Chow in Tribeca, inviting friends and muses to join the celebration. Guests included notable figures such as Chloë Sevigny, Kim Cattrall, Phoebe Tonkin, Lux Pascal, and Ivy Getty—who, interestingly, attended the 2024 Met Gala with Ives, themed “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
As attendees entered the renowned downtown dining spot, the sound of zebra- and cheetah-print pony-leather heels resonated against the marble flooring. These striking shoes, a tribute to the collection’s animal print inspiration, were briefly overlooked when dinner was served beneath crisp white table linens, complete with engraved chopsticks and the restaurant’s famous lychee martinis.
Seated between Sevigny and Cattrall, Ives posed for photographs while welcoming both old and newfound friends. “A dinner party should be an art form—it’s all about bringing together people I’ve cherished for years and those I’ve just met but feel equally inspired by,” he shared.
Recognized for his vibrant designs, the New York-raised creator often draws on his childhood experiences and the influential women in his life, blending nostalgia with contemporary flair. His latest line captures this essence by reinterpreting ’70s animal prints into stylish mules and boots for Jimmy Choo. “It was a tribute to my girlfriends—those special women I hold dear who are always on the lookout for vintage Jimmy Choos on eBay,” Ives remarked.
Olympia of Greece, the co-host for the evening, savored a dirty vodka martini while admiring the light blue dress selected for her by Ives—though she playfully adjusted it. “I tucked it in to give it a shorter hem,” she joked, before turning sincere. “Conner’s dresses are so whimsical, and every piece he creates is a woman’s fantasy. He really comprehends the female form—designing garments that enhance every silhouette.”
As the evening drew to a close and guests began to depart, the ambiance buzzed once again with the sound of heels—those iconic round-toe, calf-hair stilettos clicking their way to the exit, a fitting conclusion to a night celebrating the allure of dressing up.
