Wimbledon 2022: A Look at the Latest Tennis Fashion Trends

As Wimbledon unfolds in London, all eyes are on the court for the latest in celebrity fashion. From Olivia Rodrigo to Louis Partridge and Cate Blanchett, the stands are filled with stylish spectators. However, this year, the players themselves are giving the audience a run for their money in terms of style.

Wimbledon boasts the strictest player dress code among the Grand Slam tournaments. Competitors are required to adhere to an almost entirely white dress code, with the tournament specifying that “White does not include off white or cream.” Despite this stringent rule, players like Coco Gauff and Lorenzo Musetti have managed to make bold fashion statements with their on-court attire.

Yesterday, Coco Gauff took to the court in a striking New Balance ensemble. Sporting a pleated kilt paired with a lace tank top adorned with 3D butterflies, Gauff’s outfit was a perfect blend of femininity and athleticism. She paid attention to every detail, right down to the lettuce-trimmed socks that peeked out from her white and mint-green tennis shoes. Despite losing the match to Ukrainian player Dayana Yastremska, Gauff’s outfit stole the spotlight and garnered attention for its unique design.

With each passing match, the players at Wimbledon are not only showcasing their exceptional tennis skills but also their impeccable sense of style. Whether it’s bold colors, intricate details, or innovative designs, the court has become a runway for the latest tennis fashion trends. As the tournament progresses, we can expect to see more players pushing the boundaries of traditional tennis attire and making a statement with their on-court looks.
