Upon receiving a text from an unknown number, Billy Ray Cyrus, the father-of-five, was surprised to discover that it was Elizabeth Hurley reaching out to him. Cyrus admitted that he “didn’t even know the number” but was grateful for the unexpected message.

During a recent interview, Cyrus revealed that he and Hurley had not spoken for two years since wrapping up filming the 2022 movie Christmas in Paradise. Despite the time apart, Cyrus reminisced about the chemistry they shared on set during their “very few scenes together.”

He shared, “We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn’t laughing a lot. The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different, but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.”

Christmas in Paradise was filmed in the Caribbean shortly after Cyrus separated from his ex-wife Tish, 57, in April 2022 after 28 years of marriage. The movie provided a welcome distraction for Cyrus during a challenging time in his personal life.
