Formerly known as Emma Dumont, the 30-year-old star of “Oppenheimer” has announced a significant change in her life. Emma, who portrayed Jackie, Cillian Murphy’s sister-in-law in the film, has embraced a new identity. She now goes by the name “Nick Dumont” and identifies as transgender and non-binary, using the pronouns “They/Them.”

While these changes are reflected on Emma’s social media profiles, she has not released an official statement regarding the matter.

Despite these personal changes, Emma will continue her acting career in Hollywood under the name “Emma.”

According to TMZ, a representative for Emma stated, “They identify as a trans masculine non-binary person. Their work name is still going to be Emma Dumont, but they will go by Nick with friends and family.” Emma’s career has been on the rise, with notable roles in projects like Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Licorice Pizza” and Marvel’s TV series “The Gifted.”

Emma’s upcoming film, “The New Me,” does not have a confirmed release date yet.

Aside from her acting pursuits, Emma is also passionate about mechanical engineering and computer programming. A member of Mensa and a former participant in FIRST Robotics, Emma continues to mentor young individuals in the program.

Social media reactions to Emma’s announcement have been mixed, with some expressing support and others voicing criticism. However, Emma remains steadfast in her decision to live authentically as Nick, embracing her true self.
