The theme for this year’s Met Gala is “Tailored for You,” aligning with the Costume Exhibit’s spring showcase, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Chanel seizes this opportunity to showcase its expertise, as Jennie graces the event in an off-the-shoulder black satin jumpsuit embellished with pearl cabochons, pearls, and a white silk camellia with jeweled buttons. A black satin overskirt lined with white taffeta adds a touch of drama to her elegant ensemble.
Completing her look with a two-tone hat and matching Chanel pumps, Jennie channels the timeless style of Coco Chanel from the 1920s-1930s. Chanel not only adheres to the theme but elevates it by reimagining the classic men’s suit with a modern and feminine twist, showcasing the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship with a garment that required over 330 hours to create.
