The Walt Disney Company Limited, the U.K. arm of The Walt Disney Company responsible for film distribution, streaming, and licensing, reported revenue exceeding ÂŁ4.4 billion ($5.8 billion) for 2025.

This figure marks an 11.1% rise in revenue compared to the previous year, alongside a notable 37.7% increase in post-tax profits, which climbed from ÂŁ589 million to ÂŁ811 million during the period from September 29, 2024, to September 27, 2025.

These details were disclosed in the company’s annual report and audited financial statements, submitted to Companies House, the U.K.’s business registry, last week.

The report highlighted that the rise in both revenue and profit was primarily driven by Disney+’s robust performance, which saw increases in subscriber numbers and pricing, coupled with successful box office runs of movies such as “Moana 2” and the live-action “Lilo & Stitch.”

Despite these gains, the company experienced a shortfall in stage revenue for much of the reported financial period. “Frozen” concluded its three-year West End run in September 2024, and “Hercules” only debuted nine months later, in June 2025.

The ÂŁ4.4 billion revenue was divided into segments such as entertainment, experiences, and operating fees. Entertainment encompassed Disney+, film distribution, stage plays, and IP exploitation, while experiences included merchandise and publishing licensing income along with vacation packages. Operating fees covered payments from other group companies.

A significant portion of the revenue — 95.6% — originated from Europe, including the U.K. and Ireland, with the rest from other global regions.

Operating costs remained stable, and staff costs decreased even though the number of employees increased. The company added 95 employees, bringing the average monthly workforce to 1,981, most of whom (1,160) were in entertainment. Employees in experiences rose from 446 in 2024 to 461 in 2025, while corporate staff decreased from 385 to 360.

Despite the higher headcount, total payroll costs slightly decreased from ÂŁ266,191,000 to ÂŁ260,797,000.
