The recent sentencing of Bryan Kohberger for the brutal murders of four college students at the University of Idaho has brought to light new details about his disturbing behavior leading up to the heinous crimes. A Tinder date, identified only as “C” in the recently unsealed police documents, shared a chilling encounter with Kohberger just weeks before the murders took place.

According to the documents, Kohberger wasted no time in delving into unsettling topics during their conversation. After discussing a murder that had occurred in the woman’s town years earlier, Kohberger began asking her disturbing questions about her favorite horror movies and the worst way to die. When the woman mentioned that she thought dying by a knife would be the worst way to go, Kohberger specifically mentioned a Ka-Bar knife, the same type of knife he later used in the killings.

The woman, feeling uncomfortable with Kohberger’s line of questioning, eventually stopped communicating with him. She later reported the disturbing encounter to the police, but there was no way to corroborate her story as she no longer had access to her Tinder account.

These new details shed light on Kohberger’s unsettling behavior leading up to the murders of Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, and Ethan Chapin. Kohberger, who purchased a military-style Ka-Bar knife on Amazon in the months before the stabbings, was sentenced to life in prison for the heinous crimes.

The release of these documents comes on the heels of Kohberger’s sentencing, where he received four life sentences for the murders. The police investigation into Kohberger’s actions leading up to the killings reveals a chilling pattern of behavior that ultimately culminated in the tragic loss of four young lives.

As the community continues to grapple with the aftermath of these senseless murders, the details of Kohberger’s disturbing interactions serve as a stark reminder of the darkness that can lurk beneath seemingly normal facades. The investigation into the murders and the new revelations about Kohberger’s behavior highlight the importance of remaining vigilant and speaking out against concerning behavior before it escalates to violence.
