Cassie is determined to hold Diddy accountable for the pain he inflicted on her, revealing to the presiding judge the profound psychological scars she carries from his threats, physical violence, and sexual coercion that drove her to contemplate suicide.
The former partner of Diddy for over a decade wrote a heartfelt letter to Judge Arun Subramanian as the mogul approaches sentencing after being convicted on two counts related to the Mann Act—specifically, the illegal transport of individuals for the purpose of prostitution.
Cassie detailed the ways she felt ensnared in an oppressive 11-year relationship, during which Diddy leveraged intimidation and substances to control both her personal life and her music career.
She alleges that Diddy “groomed” her into engaging in “repeated sexual acts with hired male escorts during multi-day ‘freak-offs,'” which became nearly a weekly occurrence. Diddy purportedly threatened to ruin her public image by disseminating intimate recordings if she refused to comply.
Additionally, Cassie recounted the brutal assault she endured from Diddy in 2016 at the Intercontinental Hotel, an incident documented on surveillance footage in Los Angeles, explaining how such trauma left her in a constant state of anxiety, perpetually expecting future demands for sexual compliance or retaliation.
Years later, Cassie shares that she continues to suffer from “nightmares and flashbacks on a regular basis,” leading her to seek ongoing psychological help to manage her traumatic past.
Her concerns extend to the potential for retaliation against her and her family, prompting a relocation away from New York to ensure their safety while she remains inconspicuous.
She expressed her fear that, should Diddy evade severe punishment, his immediate response could involve harsh retribution against her and others who have bravely spoken out against his abusive behavior during the trial.
