A tragic incident unfolded in Indianapolis when a cheating husband, Cecil Mains, allegedly shot and killed his wife, Jerri Mains, in front of their four children. The horrifying event occurred on December 28th, just days after Jerri had kicked Cecil out of their home and obtained a restraining order against him.
The harrowing scene was captured through multiple 911 calls made by the couple’s terrified children, who witnessed the violence. One of the children pleaded for help, informing the dispatcher that their father was shooting their mother and expressing their inability to live without her. Another child reported that their father had shot their mother twice, both inside the house and in the driveway.
Jerri Mains, aged 44, succumbed to her injuries after being shot twice in the chest. The tragic incident unfolded after Jerri discovered Cecil’s infidelity and decided to leave him. Despite being banned from the family home, Cecil allegedly entered the residence, retrieved a gun, and fatally shot Jerri. He then fled the scene in his pickup truck but was apprehended during a traffic stop shortly after.
