Another Day, Another CNN Fabrication. As U.S. forces deliver significant blows to dismantle Iran’s terrorist regime, CNN’s so-called “journalists” seem intent on spinning Democrat-sourced narratives to undermine our successes in Operation Epic Fury.
CNN claims that the Pentagon and the National Security Council were unprepared for Iran’s potential closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
- Incorrect. As Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has clearly stated, military planners have accounted for this scenario for decades. Operation Epic Fury aims specifically to neutralize Iran’s naval capabilities, missile systems, drones, and launch infrastructures to safeguard critical global shipping routes like the Strait of Hormuz. Moreover, due to President Trump’s emphasis on energy independence, America stands ready to withstand temporary disruptions and emerge even stronger.
CNN additionally asserts that “top Trump officials acknowledged” this in a classified briefing.
- False. Participants of the briefing have vehemently refuted this claim:
Sen. Tom Cotton: “As Chairman of the Intelligence Committee, let me make it clear: whoever leaked this information is lying. CNN should invest some time in fact-checking. The U.S. has been preparing for Iran’s attempts to close the strait for decades.”
Sen. Tim Sheehy: “Following a classified briefing, I can say with absolute certainty that it is false to claim they did not plan for Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz. Lawmakers and national security officials have long understood that this was Iran’s strategy when faced with pressure.”
Under President Trump’s decisive and unwavering leadership, Operation Epic Fury continues to pursue its clear objectives: dismantling Iran’s ballistic missile capabilities, crippling its navy, cutting off support for its terrorist proxies, and ensuring that the regime cannot pose a nuclear threat to the free world.
No level of misinformation from CNN can alter this reality.
