Crazed Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Pushing Woman Out of Moving Vehicle
A shocking incident unfolded in San Bernardino County as police arrested Joseph Outlaw, a 36-year-old resident of Apple Valley, for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle and attempting to run her over.
The Victorville Police Department reported that the altercation occurred on Seventh Street in Victorville when Outlaw, who was a passenger in the victim’s car, engaged in a domestic dispute with her.
During the heated argument, Outlaw forcibly ejected the woman from the vehicle onto the street. He then proceeded to take control of the driver’s seat and aimed the car towards her in a deliberate attempt to harm her, as per police statements.
Fortunately, the victim managed to evade the oncoming vehicle and escaped without sustaining any physical injuries, according to law enforcement officials.
Subsequently, Outlaw fled the scene in the victim’s car, leaving her behind. She was promptly taken to a local hospital for medical treatment, with her condition remaining undisclosed.
Shortly thereafter, authorities located the abandoned vehicle on Zenda Street near Center Street. Deputies and detectives swiftly responded to the area and apprehended Outlaw, who attempted to flee on foot.
Following a brief chase, Outlaw was successfully apprehended without any further incidents, as per reports from the authorities.
Outlaw was subsequently arrested and taken to the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on charges of attempted murder, obstructing justice, and reckless driving.
As of Wednesday, Outlaw remains in custody at High Desert with a bail set at $1,025,000, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Efforts to reach Outlaw’s legal representation for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
