The 18-year-old daughter of a former Kentucky sheriff charged with the murder of a small-town judge is speaking out against the gossip and speculation surrounding her father’s case. Lila Stines took to TikTok to address the rumors circulating online and express her frustration with people making her family’s pain a source of entertainment.

In a video posted on TikTok, Lila Stines urged those spreading gossip to stop and consider the impact their words have on her and her family. She did not directly address her father’s case but made it clear that the rumors and speculation were hurtful and unnecessary.

The case in question involves Lila’s father, Shawn “Mickey” Stines, who was caught on surveillance video entering the chambers of District Judge Kevin Mullins and shooting him dead in September 2024. Despite the video evidence, Mickey Stines has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Surveillance footage captured the moment when Mickey Stines walked into Mullins’ office, exchanged cellphones with him, and then proceeded to shoot him. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, but Mickey Stines claimed that he believed Mullins was involved in a plot to kidnap his wife and child.

Speculation about the relationship between Mickey Stines and Judge Mullins has been rampant, with some suggesting that there may have been a personal conflict between the two men. One woman even came forward to allege that Mullins ran a sexploitation ring out of his courthouse, coercing women into sexual favors in exchange for leniency.

Despite the rumors and speculation surrounding the case, Lila Stines is determined to set the record straight and put an end to the gossip. She emphasized the importance of not turning her family’s tragedy into a source of entertainment and called for respect and empathy from those discussing the case online.

In a follow-up video, Lila Stines expressed her shock at the response her initial video received and vowed to continue speaking out about the situation. She highlighted the need to bring the truth to light and break the cycle of silence surrounding the case.

Overall, Lila Stines’ message serves as a reminder to approach sensitive and tragic situations with compassion and understanding, rather than sensationalism and gossip. The case involving her father and Judge Mullins is still ongoing, and Lila hopes that by speaking out, she can contribute to a more respectful and empathetic discourse surrounding the events that transpired.
