Demi Lovato has had a change of heart when it comes to The Bigg Chill. The 32-year-old singer recently made a return visit to the Los Angeles yogurt shop, four years after she voiced her dissatisfaction with its low-calorie menu.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, July 30, Lovato shared clips of herself at The Bigg Chill. In one TikTok video, she lip-synced to her viral rant from April 2021, where she expressed her disappointment at not getting the yogurt she wanted. The clip then showed her happily dancing while enjoying a swirled frozen treat. Another video captured Lovato twirling around in the shop with a big smile on her face, as she expressed her joy at finally getting the yogurt she desired.

Captioning her post, Lovato wrote, “you make me happy @The Bigg Chill,” along with three ice cream emojis. This visit marked a stark contrast to Lovato’s previous experience with the eatery. In the spring of 2021, she had taken to Instagram to criticize The Bigg Chill for their offerings, particularly their “diet foods,” which she found triggering and offensive. The shop responded by clarifying that they catered to various dietary restrictions, including diabetes, celiac disease, and vegan preferences.

Despite the backlash she received, Lovato continued to voice her concerns, especially considering her own battles with an eating disorder. She advocated for creating a safer environment for individuals with eating disorders to feel comfortable in all eating establishments. Following the controversy, Lovato issued a public apology, emphasizing that her intentions were not to bully a small business but to raise awareness about the importance of accommodating individuals with different dietary needs.

Overall, Lovato’s return to The Bigg Chill symbolizes a positive shift in her relationship with the yogurt shop. It serves as a reminder of the importance of open dialogue and understanding when it comes to addressing sensitive issues surrounding food and body image. Lovato’s journey towards self-acceptance and advocacy for a more inclusive dining experience highlights the power of personal growth and empathy in fostering a healthier relationship with food and oneself.
