House Republicans continue to exhibit a remarkable ability to ignore the glaring issues right in front of them. On Tuesday morning, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Law convened a hearing on “Reining in the Administrative State.” Congressman Raskin delivered a scathing opening statement, highlighting the need for accountability and adherence to the rule of law.

In his remarks, Raskin called out the hypocrisy of House Republicans, particularly Congressman Jordan, who have been fixated on the executive power vested in the President. Raskin emphasized that the President’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed, a duty that is currently being disregarded. He pointed out the alarming trend of agencies being dismantled and laws being ignored under the guise of executive authority.

While the country grapples with a President who flouts the law on a daily basis, House Republicans seem content to turn a blind eye to these violations. Instead of addressing the real issues at hand, they opt for superficial discussions on the administrative state. This diversionary tactic only serves to deflect attention from the urgent need for oversight and accountability in government.

Raskin’s impassioned plea for vigilance and action resonates with those who refuse to accept the status quo. It is imperative that lawmakers uphold their duty to uphold the Constitution and hold those in power accountable for their actions. The legislative branch has a crucial role to play in ensuring that the government operates within the confines of the law.

As Democrats confront these distractions and obfuscations, it is essential that they remain steadfast in their commitment to truth and justice. Raskin’s bold stance serves as a reminder that we cannot afford to tolerate incompetence and negligence in government. By speaking out against these injustices, we can work towards a more accountable and transparent government.
