Denver Records Hottest November Day on Record

Denver experienced record-breaking temperatures on Sunday, reaching a high of 83 degrees at Denver International Airport. This marked the hottest November day on record for the city, surpassing the previous record of 81 degrees set in 2017, according to the National Weather Service.

The scorching afternoon heat also broke Denver’s daily heat record, with the previous Nov. 2 record of 78 degrees set in 2008. However, weather forecasters predict a cool down for the rest of the week, with temperatures expected to dip back down into the high 60s and low 70s. Windy weather is also forecasted through Tuesday afternoon.

Despite the unseasonably warm weather, no rain or snow is in the forecast for Denver in the coming week. The city is still awaiting its first snowfall of the season, which is running behind schedule. On average, Denver sees its first measurable snowfall by Oct. 8, but this year, the city is already a month past that benchmark.

Denver’s first snow on track to be one of the latest on record

If Denver does not see its first snow by Nov. 14, it will be the 10th latest snowfall on record for the city. If the dry spell continues for less than another week after that, Denver will record its third latest snowfall ever.
