Zach Bryan seems to have caught the attention of the Department of Homeland Security as he recently voiced his opinion against ICE, prompting DHS to respond by featuring one of his songs in a promotional video.
The Department’s clip, shared on X, utilizes the song “Revival,” playing alongside scenes of Border Patrol and ICE personnel apprehending individuals in various settings.
In a statement within the video, DHS remarked, “We’re having an All Night Revival.”
This interaction marks a continuation of tensions that arose when the country star posted a new song on his Instagram with the phrase, “the fading of the red white and blue.”

In part of the song, ZB mentions that ICE intends to “bust through your door,” highlighting the fear that many children across the nation feel as “all scared and all alone.”
Shortly thereafter, DHS Assistant Secretary of Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin responded to the Grammy-winner, suggesting he should “stick to ‘Pink Skies'”—a reference to one of Zach’s popular songs about children returning home to be proud of their upbringing.
Indeed, ICE, a subsidiary of the DHS, has faced significant criticism lately due to its aggressive enforcement strategies, arrest practices, and reports of cruel conditions within its detention centers. McLaughlin has countered claims regarding these “inhuman conditions,” stating, “Our ICE detention standards exceed those of most prisons for U.S. citizens.”
Recently, Theo Von criticized the agency for including footage of him in a promotional video that celebrated deportations, after which DHS had to remove the video. The Pokémon Company also expressed its objection to its theme song being utilized in ICE arrest videos.
