Diddy expressed, “I wish to once more personally apologize to Cassie Ventura for any pain or distress I may have caused her — both emotionally and physically.”

He continued, “I would also like to extend my apologies to her family. I am truly sorry.”

Diddy also addressed the other victim in the matter, who testified as Jane. He stated, “I never intended to harm you. I’m sorry for involving you in my complications.”

He described his actions as “reprehensible, shameful, and sickening.”

Diddy turned to address his family, stating that his children deserved more. He expressed to his mother, “I have let you down as a son, and I apologize.”

He acknowledged his failures, sharing that he had let down his community while losing his freedom, career, businesses, reputation, and his role as a father. He reflected on getting lost in his pursuit to be a “positive role model.”

Diddy took full responsibility for his actions and requested the judge’s mercy with hopes to reconnect with his children and resume his role as a community leader.

He reflected on his conviction, noting emphatically, “I don’t take my Mann Act conviction lightly. I fully comprehend its seriousness, and I am facing the repercussions.”

Diddy claimed that prosecutors intended for the judge to set a harsh precedent with his sentence, and he urged the judge to demonstrate what someone might achieve when given a second chance.

This marks the most extensive statements from Diddy since he opted not to testify during his trial and only briefly addressed the judge when the verdict was announced.

Beginning his statement, Diddy expressed gratitude to the court for allowing him the opportunity to speak, stating, “One of the hardest things I’ve faced is remaining silent, unable to communicate how remorseful I am for my actions.”

During his twelve-minute speech, Diddy stated he was “sincerely sorry for everything” and pledged to never commit violence against another individual again.
