Peacock has recently released the trailer for an upcoming documentary focusing on the controversial music mogul, Diddy. Titled “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy,” the 90-minute special is set to premiere on Jan. 14 and aims to shed light on the forces that have influenced Diddy’s persona.
The trailer features interviews with individuals from Diddy’s inner circle, including his bodyguard, intern, makeup artist, and producer, who speak candidly about their experiences with the music mogul. One individual mentioned in the trailer admits, “Honestly, I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras.”
The documentary also includes insights from one of Diddy’s childhood friends, a former bodyguard, and a winner of his music competition series “Making the Band.” Additionally, producer and singer-songwriter Al B. Sure! shares his perspective on Diddy, having been at Uptown Records with him and dated Kim Porter before him.
New footage showcased in the documentary captures Diddy partying both at home and in the studio. An anonymous interviewee in the trailer raises concerns about Diddy’s behavior, stating, “Any time a studio or any room is red, he’s engaging in intimate activities. Some individuals who entered the room were underage.”
Diddy has faced serious allegations of rape, child sexual abuse, and sexual misconduct dating back to 1991. In 2023, his homes were raided by the Department of Homeland Security, leading to his arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Currently incarcerated in Brooklyn, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all federal criminal charges.
“Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” is not the only project delving into Diddy’s controversial past. Netflix is working on a docuseries produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, while ID is developing a multi-part documentary investigating the fallen rapper-producer.
Produced by Ample Entertainment, Blink Films, and FGW Productions, “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy” boasts a talented team of executive producers, including Ari Mark, Phil Lott, Sumit David, Stephanie Frederic, Laura Jones, and Justine Kershaw, with Sara Lavery serving as a co-executive producer.
