Diddy’s Family and Defense Team Show Support at Hearing Seeking Acquittal

Diddy‘s legal representatives walked into his acquittal hearing on Thursday, exuding confidence, while his family members strolled into the courtroom bearing expressions of hopeful solidarity.

The rap mogul’s formidable legal ensemble, featuring Marc Agnifilo and Alexandra Shapiro, arrived at the federal courthouse in New York City fully equipped with tailored suits and a briefcase full of legal documents. Agnifilo expressed sentiments of nostalgia for the press, referencing Diddy’s earlier conviction on two out of five federal charges back in July. Fellow attorney Jason Driscoll simply smiled at inquiries regarding the day’s proceedings.

Diddy’s family made their way into the courtroom a bit later, including Chance Combs and her mother Sarah Chapman, as well as his twins, Jessie and D’Lila, alongside Diddy’s mother Janice—all impeccably dressed in a range of elegant black attire. Other family members, such as Christian Combs, Quincy Brown, Justin Combs, and Raven Tracy, followed soon after.

The federal prosecution team also made a notable appearance, featuring a contingent of legal experts, including Mitzi Steiner, Christy Slavik, Emily Anne Johnson, Madison Reddick, and Meredith Foster, who entered the courthouse in coordinated groups.

Interestingly absent from this ensemble was former Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey, who was terminated in July after failing to achieve a conviction on the more severe charges against Diddy. Rumors suggest that her father, James Comey, had a contentious relationship with President Donald Trump, which some believe contributed to her dismissal.

As previously reported, Diddy is petitioning a federal judge to overturn his conviction on two counts under the Mann Act. His defense maintains that he never engaged in sexual activity with any of the individuals transported across state lines for what has recently come to be known as “freak-offs” and asserts that he never personally arranged their travel.

On the flip side, prosecutors argue that Diddy had control over the minutiae of these encounters, asserting that involvement goes beyond direct participation in sexual acts.
