Diddy‘s situation may only get better if he receives a longer sentence … as a well-known consultant explains he is probably heading to a prison that is an improvement from his current circumstances.
In a conversation with Sam Mangel, a former inmate and prison consultant for celebrities, we discussed Diddy’s upcoming sentencing during “TMZ Live” and explored whether Diddy’s high profile could make him a target.
Mangel reassures us that Diddy’s next prison assignment will be a significant upgrade from the MDC Brooklyn, where he has been incarcerated since his dramatic arrest in 2024.
According to Mangel, MDC Brooklyn is infamous for its harsh conditions, which starkly contrasts with the low-security facility that is expected for Diddy following his sentencing.

Mangel points out that low-security facilities still maintain strict structures — with guard towers and limited freedom of movement, which is a reality of any prison.
However, Mangel believes that although there may be violent offenders in such settings, the environment is not predominantly violent, which should put Diddy at ease. He asserts that Diddy’s intelligence will help him avoid trouble during his time there.

Mangel also discusses how some inmates might be drawn to Diddy while he’s incarcerated — potentially offering him protection or assistance in exchange for future help once he’s released.
It’s important to note that Diddy was convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act in July, although he was not found guilty on charges of sex trafficking or racketeering.
Diddy has been in custody for over a year now … yet it appears that conditions are likely to improve for him moving forward.
