Sky Documentaries UK, Optomen, and All3Media Intl. have unveiled the trailer for the upcoming original feature documentary “Becoming Madonna,” set to premiere on Dec. 30 on the Sky pay TV platform in the U.K.
“Becoming Madonna” offers a deep dive into the early years of Madonna’s career, focusing on the period from 1978 to 1992 when she transitioned from a young, insecure outsider to the controversial pop star we know today. The film delves into recently uncovered audio tapes where a young Madonna reflects on her life and career, providing viewers with a never-before-seen glimpse into her personal journey. Rare footage, unseen photos, and intimate recordings with those close to her during her rise to fame add a new dimension to Madonna’s story.
During these formative years, Madonna faced challenges and conflicts with the conservative establishment of the 80s and 90s, pushing boundaries on sexuality and gender roles.
