In a dramatic exchange this morning on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi found herself in a heated confrontation with Lindell TV reporter Alison Steinberg, who pressed her on the controversial decisions surrounding the events of January 6, 2021.

Despite her denials, Pelosi’s claims about the National Guard have come under scrutiny.
Footage released by the House Oversight Committee in June 2024 revealed Pelosi acknowledging her role in the events of January 6, stating, “I take responsibility.”

Moreover, investigative reports have surfaced revealing that Pelosi’s security team received credible alerts about potential violence the night before January 6.
Pelosi had the opportunity to request the National Guard but chose not to, suggesting political motivations behind her actions.
The claim that January 6 was orchestrated has gained traction, bolstered by evidence indicating that both Pelosi and Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser disregarded security recommendations to bring in National Guard troops.
As previously detailed, both Pelosi and Bowser declined the offer of thousands of National Guard personnel at the Capitol on January 6 for overtly political reasons.
Even the FBI under Chris Wray failed to inform the Trump administration of credible threats of violence that day.
Pelosi’s reasoning for refusing the National Guard appears to be rooted in “politics,” but how much knowledge did she possess ahead of time?
Testimony from Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund revealed that requests for backup were continuously denied by Pelosi’s office.
Chief Sund stated: “Ma’am, it was your Sergeant at Arms who repeatedly denied my requests for National Guard support before and during January 6. Even on that day, my urgent appeals were thwarted for over 70 minutes.”
In a dry presentation of facts, Sund shared a timeline showing his attempts to secure National Guard assistance, all met with resistance.
If Pelosi had authorized National Guard intervention, lives could have been preserved, and chaos potentially averted.
